The People Behind
Entrepreneurs of Iowa
James is a Business Professional with over 10 years in enterprise-level sales and an additional 15 years as an Entrepreneur. He's personally worked 100s of SMBs throughout the United States. James facilitates opportunities between our members, sponsors, and marketplace partners.
Anthony worked as a freelancer, Agency Owner, and has been involved as a partner in multiple Iowa startups. He has spearheaded the launch of EOI and works hand in hand with Elijah on the Events, Media, Marketing, and more. He possesses a wide range of skills that allow him to build in the areas the company most needs him.
Jacob has spent his entire life as an Entrepreneur. He's raised capital, operated a startup, traveled the world for business, and ran his own service business for several years. Since childhood, he's loved being behind and operating a camera. Jacob is a media expert and leads EOI's entire media by himself.

At the helm of Entrepreneurs of Iowa is Elijah Bluhm, a seventh-generation Iowan with deep roots in the state. At 17, he committed to pursuing his dreams in business, dropping out of high school to develop self-taught expertise in marketing and business operations. Since his start as a freelancer in 2018, he has advised over 200 companies worldwide, launched two startups, and founded Edj Digital - a top 1% web design agency.
His vision for Entrepreneurs of Iowa stems from his own experience building a business in rural North Iowa.
In his words, "I believe that Iowa can be a beacon of innovation throughout the U.S. We have the character - we need more of the means. EOI is an answer to a serious gap Iowa's business environment has had."

What Is Entrepreneurs Of Iowa?
Entrepreneurs of Iowa is an organization founded by experienced marketers and serial entrepreneurs who saw an enormous gap in the quality of Iowa's business environment. Our goal is to make Iowa a better place to start, conduct, and grow businesses - and we need your help to do that. We're curating resources, playbooks, events, and most importantly - competent individuals to help Iowa go from dead last to first in busienss.
How much is membership?
Free. Every resource, playbook, article, and newsletter we publish is free for everyone to benefit from. Our goal is to educate new and inexperienced entrepreneurs wanting to start or grow their business and/or venture. Membership favors founders who are serious about building their personal brand, becoming the best version of themselves, and creating lasting wealth alongside peers who are just as driven. No revenue minimums or caps. If personal transformation and real growth are your priority, this is for you.
What is the County Playbook?
A free guide to starting and running a business in every one of Iowa's 99 counties. Each county playbook includes the local chamber of commerce, active grant programs, scholarships, business competitions, recommended local vendors, upcoming events, and a step-by-step startup checklist of how to start and maintain your business.
How is this different from a chamber of commerce or SBDC?
Chambers, EDC's, and SBDCs are local. We're statewide. We collect what every chamber, SBDC, grant program, and entrepreneur resource organization in Iowa is doing into one place, so you don't have to go hunting through 99 different websites to figure out what applies to you.
How can I support Entrepreneurs of Iowa?
There's two methods: Becoming a member and participating in our community is a great way to help us support our mission.The second way is becoming an EOI Contributor. Inquire via our contributor form and help us make Iowa better for business. Otherwise, Contact us and ask how you can help us better serve your county.
How do I apply for partnership?
Visit the Partner With Us page. The application is short. We'll respond as soon as possible, but we only take on a few partnerships per year, so the bar is high.
